You will be picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your hotel in Arusha town; you will meet your Genet African Safaris guide who will brief you on your upcoming safari. All the basic information about your safari will be given to you by safari guide.

Your Serengeti Great Migration adventure begins with a 7:30 AM pickup from your Arusha hotel. Depart for Tarangire National Park, a 140 km drive that takes approximately 2 hours. Tarangire is famed for its diverse landscapes and nine distinct vegetation zones, including seasonal swamps and ancient baobab trees. The park is home to thousands of elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, buffaloes, and over 500 bird species, offering exceptional wildlife viewing for both animal and bird enthusiasts. Enjoy a game drive throughout the park with a picnic lunch stop, before departing in the late afternoon for your lodge in Karatu.

Enjoy a picnic lunch during your journey and, time permitting, spend a few hours at the Mara River, observing dramatic river crossings of the Great Migration. The valley is abundant with big cats, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as resident and migratory herbivores. Arrive at the crater rim to witness the awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to over 25,000 animals. Watch the sunset over the caldera before retiring to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
