Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

You will be picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your hotel in Arusha town; you will meet your Genet African Safaris guide who will brief you on your upcoming safari. All the basic information about your safari will be given to you by safari guide.

One

Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and begin your safari to Tarangire National Park. The park is renowned for its bush savannahs, seasonal swamps, and iconic baobab trees, and is considered one of East Africa’s best locations to view elephants in large numbers. In addition to elephants, the park is home to Masai giraffes, various gazelles, antelopes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, baboons, and over 500 bird species, making it a paradise for both wildlife and bird enthusiasts. After a rewarding game drive, you will leave the park in the late afternoon and drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Lake Natron – Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, travel along adventurous dirt tracks with breathtaking views as you ascend from the Rift Valley into the Serengeti plains. The Serengeti, meaning “endless plains” in Maasai, offers iconic landscapes dotted with grazing wildlife stretching to the horizon. The park is famous for the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles traverse the plains in search of fresh pasture and water. After an afternoon game drive, you will arrive at your northern Serengeti lodge for dinner and overnight.

Four

Full-Day Serengeti Game Drive

Spend a full day in the Serengeti, with your itinerary guided by the location of migrating herds. Predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards often follow the herds closely. During the short rains (November–December), herds move from the northern hills to the southern plains; during the long rains (April–June), they gradually return north. Your experienced guide will ensure you are positioned to witness the best wildlife encounters. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Five

Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti, spotting any wildlife you may have missed. The Serengeti is home to the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard—and today you may be able to tick off all five. After a picnic lunch, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival at the crater rim, be awed by the spectacular 20 km-wide caldera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to over 25,000 animals. End the day with sunset views over the crater and overnight at your lodge.

Six

Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu

Wake up early for a game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Discover an incredible diversity of wildlife, including black rhinos, lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, spotted hyenas, and over 500 bird species. After a morning of game viewing and a picnic lunch, return to Karatu for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Karatu – Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its birdlife, primates, and diverse landscapes. Explore forests, plains, and lakeside habitats, where you can spot giraffes, elephants, hippos, wildebeests, impalas, and even tree-climbing lions. After your game drive, drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon to conclude your safari with unforgettable memories.
